“It seems to me that the natural world is the greatest source of excitement; the greatest source of visual beauty; the greatest source of intellectual interest. It is the greatest source of so much life that makes life worth living.”

David Attenborough

The underwater world is an alien world. But mostly, it is a living world. One were entire forests consisting of living, feeding organisms populate our precious coral reefs.  In these living forests rages a constant battle for survival. And the biodiversity of a reef cannot be put into words. In ‘Textured’ I scour the world’s reefs one inch at a time. Isolating singular beauty among a city of millions. Photographing things that might not move (at least to the naked eye), but are very much alive.
